Ultrafiltration Package

Ultrafiltration as a modern filtration package for desalination

Ultrafiltration (UF) is a separation process using membranes with pore sizes in the range of 0.1 to 0.001 micron. Typically, UF membranes will remove high molecular-weight substances, colloidal materials, and organic and inorganic polymeric molecules. A membrane barrier acts like a filter for all particles over 10-20 nm in size: pollen, algae, bacteria, viruses, germs and organic molecules.

UF excels at the clarification of solutions containing suspended solids, bacteria, and high concentrations of macromolecules, including oil and water, fruit juice, milk and whey, electro-coat paints, pharmaceuticals, poly-vinyl alcohol and indigo, potable water, and tertiary wastewater.

FARAN offers Ultrafiltration Membrane Package System is designed as an economical ultrafiltration membrane treatment system that is both easy to use and simple to install. They can be upgraded by simply installing an additional module and changing the flow set point. the systems are fully-functional, self-contained skids that have all of the features and benefits of the full-scale, including automated operation and daily integrity tests. FARAN Provided UF package contains all the components necessary for a complete and operable water treatment system.
